Did you know you can use coconut oil for healthy, nourished skin? Here are 40+ of my favorite coconut oil skin recipes that will make your skin glow.
Below, you’ll find an assortment of amazing coconut oil recipes that include: mascara, body polish, shaving cream, lotion bars, and so much more!
Coconut oil is one of my favorite skincare products, probably because my skin just seems to love it.
My face, in particular, is incredibly picky about what I put on it, but it gets along just fine with coconut oil.
It even gets along with my acne-prone skin (read more about coconut oil and acne here).
So, although coconut oil has many uses, skincare is near the top of my list (right under my coconut oil fudge).
What’s so special about coconut oil?
The unique medium-chain fatty acids in coconut oil have anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, and they also serve as antioxidants that protect your skin.
So coconut oil is essentially food for your skin!
But I’m not the only one who loves using coconut oil for my skin.
Below are some of my favorite coconut oil skin recipes from this blog and many others. Try one out today!

Cant wait to give these a try! Where do you get all of these recipes from? Id like to experiment with my own too. Im just confused about where to start. What is the expiration date on these?
Elizabeth Walling says
I think 3 months is a good rule of thumb for homemade cosmetics, but coconut oil itself can last quite a while on the shelf.

They all sound interesting. No chemicals.

Thanks!

You can use more essential oils as needed but you may smell them more clearly if you use expeller pressed coconut oil next time (which doesn’t have an odor).

I just made my first batch using only 1 cup of coconut oil (nothing else). I found on Pintrest. My batch produced 1 1/2 jars worth of whipped body butter. I used the Ball glass 4 oz jam jars. So far, I’ve applied the whipped butter on my arms and hands and noticed that my arms are silky smooth just after one application! I am very hopeful that this will help alleviate my dry skin. =}
