These are my favorite books (both fiction and non-fiction) that I’ve enjoyed recently:
Being raised in the South and with my husband’s family from the hills of Kentucky, this was a memoir that really hit home for me in many ways.
This book made me completely rethink how I feel about stress. I now feel empowered by feelings that used to feel negative and heavy to me. Highly recommended if you’ve been convinced (possibly even by me!) that stress is purely harmful.
Jane Eyre has been my favorite book since I was twelve years old and it still never fails to please.
I love how this book defies the idea that bigger is better – even in business. This meshed a lot with the philosophy I’ve lived by in my own business and it also deepened my understanding of why slow growth is actually the more sustainable path.
I just read The Hobbit for the first time last year. I am WAY late to the Tolkien game, but better late than never, right? I hope I get points for reading it with my son shortly after, lol.
I am a huge L.M. Montgomery fan and have been since a young age. Although it’s lesser known, this story is hands-down one of my favorite reads.
I’ve really enjoyed some great memoirs this year, and Becoming was good read. If you’re working on being more inclusive with your reading list (as I am), I recommend including this one.
