HEALTHY SHAMROCK SHAKE RECIPE

This delicious mint shake is healthy and refreshing! It's also waaaaaay healthier than the Shamrock Shake you'll get anywhere else. ;)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla frozen Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure peppermint extract or to taste
  • a handful of peppermint leaves optional

Instructions

  • If you are using peppermint leaves, place the almond milk and the leaves in your blender and blend completely.  Doing this first helps get the leaves in smaller particles for a more uniform color.
  • Add the frozen yogurt and the peppermint extract to your blender.  If you used the mint leaves, add just half of the peppermint extract.  Blend well.
  • When it's combined, taste it.  Add more peppermint extract as needed.
  • Pour into a cup, top with whipped cream, and enjoy!

Notes

I have a regular blender and a bullet style blender.  I feel that the bullet style is a lot better for milkshakes and smoothies.  The regular blender only seems to get the bottom half of whatever I'm blending.  The bullet style blender will fully blend everything.  The bullet blender seems to take less time, too. I have small and large cups for my bullet blender, so I don't even have to pour my healthy shamrock shake into a new cup.  This means fewer dishes to wash.
